Drawing a zentangle mandala or zendala on a watercolor background

Tangle & Splash: A Colorful Day of Zentangle and Watercolor

We had a wonderful time in Bloomington at our second Tangle & Splash workshop! We brought Zentangle patterns and watercolor together to create some beautiful Zentangle-Inspired Art!

As I did for our first Tangle & Splash workshop earlier this year, I prepared several small watercolor Zentangle® tiles ahead of time, giving everyone a colorful surface ready for tangling. We also created our own watercolor backgrounds on larger Zentangle mandala tiles (aka “Zendalas”), using a MEEDEN Travel Water Color Set to add a splash of color before tangling.

We explored how simple lines, curves, and dots can come together to create beautiful, intricate patterns using a variety of tangles!

Thanks Juliette, Pam, Becky and Jo for tangling with me!

If you are interested in seeing any of these this offered as a DIY kit, drop me a quick email here!
