A Morning of Tangling: A Special Women’s Retreat
Share
Here are a few fun photos from a special class I taught in August at a women’s retreat at First United Methodist Church of Bloomington, IN.
For almost everyone, it was their first time trying Zentangle®. With absolutely no prior experience—and no preconceived notion of what their finished project would look like—each person simply trusted the process.
Through a series of lines, dots, and curves, they created these beautiful little pieces of art in less than an hour!
And what I love most is that every single one is unique.
Whenever we finish a workshop, we put all of the finished pieces together for a “mosaic” photo. I love how these mosaics illustrate just how different—and beautiful—each creation can be. It’s such a wonderful reflection of the lovely ladies who drew them!
I hope you enjoy some of the photos I took that morning. It was a joy to watch everyone discover just how creative they could be with a little guidance, a few simple patterns, and a willingness to trust the process.
